Central London Attack Statement

Jun 6, 2017 by

The Association of Muslim Schools UK (AMS UK) condemns, in the strongest possible sense, the horrific murders which took place in Central London on Saturday 3 June.

These senseless terrorist attacks on our nation are far removed from Islam and will never be accepted as representative of our faith. These disgraceful acts took place at a time when Muslims in the UK were bringing to a close an 18 hour fast, many with their fellow British citizens in community iftaars.

It is heartbreaking to see so many lives destroyed and we call on everyone to play a part in rooting out the extremists and terrorists from our streets, whatever their background and whatever their cause.

AMS UK encourages all Muslim schools to follow the lead of some our institutes and observe a minute’s silence with the rest of country at 11am on Tuesday 6 June and pay their respects to the lives lost in the recent tragedy.
