QTS Support Programme

AMS UK is pleased to present a great opportunity for experienced unqualified teachers in Muslim schools to gain Qualified Teacher Status, supported by the University of Cumbria. The programme would be part-funded by a subsidy with the candidate’s school responsible for the remaining amount.

The programme is ideal for teachers who have at least two years’ experience and would like to continue working without having to take time off from school to gain the qualification. No training is required and the whole process can be completed in one term.

AMS UK will sponsor teachers from its member schools to apply for Qualified Teacher Status through Assessment Only Route. Each application will be considered on its individual merit, with successful candidates receiving £500.00 in via the subsidy – the candidate’s school or the candidate themselves would therefore be required to pay £2000.00 to register for the course.

A briefing session for prospective candidates will be held on Tuesday 12 July at Islamiyah School, Blackburn, where a member of the University of Cumbria team will explain the Assessment Only Route in detail.

If you are interested in receiving the QTS qualification and attending the initial briefing session, please register by completing the form below.

More details about the University of Cumbria’s Assessment Only programme can be found by clicking here.

Please note: This programme is not related to the previously advertised fully-subsidised QTS Asssessement Only Route programme. AMS UK is continuing to develop that programme and hopes to notify schools of its progress shortly.
