Teachers’ Training Programme

Aimed at: Primary and Secondary Teachers

The AMS Teachers’ Training Programme is a series of half-day training sessions to equip teachers at all levels with the skills and knowhow to effectively manage the duties for which they are responsible. This course is delivered by Zebulnisa Butt, an educational consultant working with Islamic schools, primarily in Greater Manchester and Yorkshire who has worked in teaching and leadership roles within the maintained and independent sector as well as an Education Officer for Oldham Council.

Zebulnisa Butt is the AMS North Hub Co-Ordinator, overseeing the requirements of Muslim schools in Lancashire and Yorkshire. She is also a qualified teacher and independent education consultant with many years of experience in teaching and advising secondary and primary schools. She is fully accredited by the society of educational experts (SEC) and has adopted a holistic approach towards teaching and learning based on her experience of working with children and young people, drawing on aspects of changing the way things are perceived to achieve practical outcomes.

Zebulnisa has also worked as an education officer for Oldham Council, supporting schools to implement effective education plans and delivered training to leading schools as part of the local authority agenda of improving education standards across the Oldham borough. She has also supported parents with behaviour management techniques (derived from Webster Stratton and triple p) and later qualified as a CBT practitioner with psychotherapy fundamentals.
