About

30 years ago, a small group of individuals came together to form an organisation that would unite the ummah through education and bring about effective working partnerships. Their foresight to look beyond the here and now means that the seed they sowed all those years ago is standing tall today.

The AMS was formed in 1992; in 2022, we celebrated 30 years since its inception. We began with less than 10 Muslim schools. Over the period of 30 years, more than 200 Muslim schools have opened across the UK, and close to 1 million young Muslims have passed through them, many making significant contributions to the community at large.

We plan to use this momentous milestone to recognise 30 years of achievements; acknowledging the effort of the amazing people behind it. These people include the founders, the schools, partners/organisations, the staff, parents, local community and the students who have passed through Muslim schools.

Gala Dinner

To mark this momentous occasion, the AMS celebrated its 30th anniversary by holding an exclusive gala dinner in Kensington, London on the 3rd March 2023. This was an amazing opportunity to hear from our great lineup of speakers, relive those historic moments, meet colleagues and much more.

“It was the spirit of goodwill that was generated throughout the event. The sense of community that came from all the speakers and the pride in your faith and its moral values which you want to see expressed in your lives and through your children, particularly in a world when morals and crime are degenerating, whilst showing you are contributing British citizens working to build a better society.”

“Thank you to the young boy who recited the Qu’ran. It was very moving for me and brought tears to my (non-muslim) eyes. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate with you.”
