Container For Syria
For the first time ever, we are excited to unite schools across the UK in sending a relief container filled with essential food items to needy families in Syria, insha’Allah. This incredible initiative brings together Muslim schools to support a common cause—helping those less fortunate.
This is a unique opportunity for students, along with their families, to get involved in a meaningful and impactful way. By participating in this initiative, students can contribute to a great cause, strengthening the values of compassion and community while making a real difference in the lives of those in need.
The deadline to register your school’s participation is Wednesday, 15th January. The items from your school will be collected during the week commencing 27th January, with a specific day and time agreed upon with each participating school.
We are asking schools to encourage their students to collect and donate non-perishable food items with a minimum shelf life of 6 months.
The following items are accepted: flour, rice, lentils, pasta, beans, oats, noodles, chickpeas, spaghetti, tinned soup, tinned fruit, tinned baby food, tinned food, tinned tomatoes, tinned plum tomatoes, biscuits, cereal, fava beans, and other non-perishable items.
Important Note: We are not accepting sugar, tea bags, or baby milk.
This is a fantastic opportunity to show solidarity, strengthen our ties as a community, and work together to support those in desperate need. Let’s make this first-ever effort a success and create a lasting impact.
