Al Madina School for Girls is seeking a passionate, experienced and qualified Mathematics    teacher to join our vibrant team. We are a thriving and inclusive school with a strong commitment to providing a well-rounded education to our pupils that fosters both academic excellence and Islamic values.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and stimulating lessons on Mathematics to students in KS3 and KS4, following the National Curriculum guidelines.
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students can reach their full potential.
  • Effectively assess student progress through appropriate teaching and assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to promote attainment and learning.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment in line with Islamic principles and teaching best practice to encourage open discussion, critical thinking, and respect for all.
  • Play an active role in the school's Islamic community, contributing to extracurricular activities and events related to Maths Mastery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents / guardians to ensure effective communication of student progress as well as to offer appropriate guidance to parents regarding their child’s learning.
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and/or best practice in Mathematics education and maintain a commitment to utilising relevant professional development opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Training Qualification (QTS) or equivalent (Desired).
  • Experience teaching at KS3 and/or KS4.
  • A strong understanding of Mathematics with a demonstrable ability to promote Maths Mastery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • A passion for Mathematics education and a commitment to improving numeracy across the school.
