Al Madina School for Girls is seeking a passionate, experienced and qualified Quran and Islamic Studies teacher to join our vibrant team. We are a thriving and inclusive school with a strong commitment to providing a well-rounded education to our pupils that fosters both academic excellence and Islamic values.

- Deliver engaging and stimulating lessons on Quran recitation, Tajweed and Islamic Studies to students in KS3 and KS4, following the National Curriculum and the school’s Islamic Studies curriculum guidelines.
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students can reach their full potential.
- Effectively assess student progress through appropriate teaching and assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to promote attainment and learning.
- Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment in line with Islamic principles and teaching best practice to encourage open discussion, critical thinking, and respect for all.
- Play an active role in the school's Islamic community, contributing to extracurricular activities and events related to Islamic Studies.
- Maintain strong relationships with parents / guardians to ensure effective communication of student progress as well as to offer appropriate guidance to parents regarding their child’s learning.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and/or best practice in Islamic education and maintain a commitment to utilising relevant professional development opportunities.

- Qualified Teacher Training Qualification (QTS) or equivalent (Desired).
- Experience teaching at KS3 and/or KS4.
- A strong understanding of Islamic Studies and the Quran, with a demonstrable ability to recite with proper Tajweed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- A passion for Islamic education and a commitment to fostering students' moral and spiritual development.
- Fluency in Arabic is an advantage.
