We are a successful secondary school in Leyton, London E10 providing education in National Curriculum subjects and Hifz classes.

We are seeking to recruit 1 full-time school administrator from September 2024. The work timings are 7:30am - 4:30pm.

Your previous experience in administration will have been gained from working many years in a school setting.

You will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the school front office. This includes undertaking administrative and clerical functions, providing a high standard of administration and contributing to the effective running of the school.

You will be working under the Headteacher’s supervision but with the expectation of exercising considerable initiative in performing delegated duties, seeking the necessary advice, where appropriate.

You will be flexible, creative and have a positive attitude in dealing with all stakeholders of the school, contributing to the overall ethos of the school, having regard to its mission statement.

  • is able to build effective working relationships with staff and other stakeholders
  • has excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • has excellent oral and written communication skills
  • has excellent record keeping skills and attention to detail, in order to produce reports, take minutes of meetings, and produce documents.
  • is proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • has experience of working as an administrator within a school environment and holds relevant qualifications (alternatively can demonstrate from their education their capacity to learn very quickly)
  • is able to demonstrate sound organisational skills, work under pressure and prioritise to meet deadlines
  • has knowledge of safeguarding within schools
  • has understanding of dealing with sensitive data and upholding the principles of confidentiality
  • is confident, positive and approachable and has a friendly manner
  • is flexible and adaptable
  • is professional, calm and acts with courtesy at all times
  • is able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
  • can maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all aspects of work
