The Association of Muslim Schools (AMS) UK is shocked and horrified at the car explosion outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital. This is an utterly appalling and cowardly act. AMS UK completely and irrefutably condemns the act and actions of the perpetrator. Violence and terrorism are never the answer to resolving any dispute or grievance. AMS believes discourse, dialogue and debate are the only way to air grievances and resolve issues.
AMS would like to pay tribute to David Perry, the taxi driver, who’s quick thinking and bravery alongside the actions of the emergency services saved many innocent lives. Our thoughts, well wishes and prayers go out to David Perry, the emergency services, the patients and staff at the Women’s hospital and the whole of city of Liverpool. May Allah unite, protect and bring peace to all the people of Liverpool and of the UK.
