Educational Enrichment Opportunities

AMS Talent is an exciting new initiative for Muslim schools, focusing on nurturing and unlocking the potential of Muslim students through a dynamic program of national events centred around three key strands: Arts, Careers, and Active.

The AMS is committed to holding exclusive regional events, supporting our member schools across the UK. Below is outline of our events planned for academic year 23/24.

Arts – Debate

16th May – Manchester

This event will see our partner Debating For Everyone lead in facilitating our very first debate competition.

The day consists of two parts; a workshop followed by a competition. Students will be supported in developing an ‘argument’ with the right tools and techniques to capture the audience. They will present their argument to the audience which includes fellow participants and a judging panel.

Everyone taking part will receive a certification of participation but one team will take away the inaugural trophy!

Location: 141 Barlow Moor Road, Manchester

Time: 8:30 – 3:30

Audience: Secondary (Yr 8-10 only)

Other: Each school MUST bring 3 individuals to participate. It’s left to the school to decide who attends i.e. all students from year 8 only or one from each year group.
